Expected
Terms of Service
These terms govern access to Expected’s company workspaces, technician tools, secure visit links, and related services.
Last updated August 19, 2026
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an Expected workspace, accepting a workspace invitation, opening a secure visit page, or otherwise using Expected, you agree to these Terms. If you use Expected for a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Expected provides
Expected is software that helps service companies coordinate visits, show customers who is assigned, share progress and proof of service, communicate, and support payment. Expected is not the company performing the home or field service, does not employ the provider’s technicians, and is not a party to the service agreement between a customer and a service company.
Expected does not conduct background screening, business-entity checks, license or insurance verification, government-database checks, or provider-document review. A profile, assignment, link, or status displayed in Expected is not an endorsement, certification, warranty of workmanship, or guarantee of safety. Customers should direct questions about the technician, appointment, scope, price, credentials, and work to the service company named on the visit page.
3. Accounts and workspace access
You must provide accurate information, keep authentication links and sessions confidential, and use only the organization and visits you are authorized to access. Company administrators control their team’s roles and field access. Tell the company and Expected promptly if you believe an account, invitation, secure link, or verification method has been compromised.
4. Company responsibilities
Each service company is responsible for its services, personnel, customer relationship, statements, scheduling, pricing, taxes, refunds, disputes, regulatory obligations, and compliance with employment, licensing, insurance, consumer-protection, privacy, and messaging laws. The company must have lawful authority to enter customer, property, technician, and visit information and must obtain and preserve any consent required for visit-related SMS.
The company must keep homeowner-facing information accurate, use appropriate public technician names and photos, respond to customer support and safety concerns, and avoid representing Expected as independently verifying the company or its technicians.
5. Secure visit links and customer use
A secure visit link is intended for the customer and authorized household members. Do not publish or forward it. Expected may rotate, revoke, or expire links and may require phone verification before displaying messages, work evidence, payment information, receipts, or support actions. If a link was sent to you in error, do not use it and notify the service company.
Visit pages are informational coordination tools. For emergencies, threats, suspected crime, gas leaks, fire, medical events, or other urgent hazards, contact emergency services or the appropriate local authority rather than relying on Expected.
6. Messaging
Expected supports transactional messages about scheduled service visits. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency depends on visit activity. Reply STOP to opt out and START to opt back in where supported. An SMS opt-out does not cancel an appointment or prevent the service company from contacting you through a lawful alternative channel.
7. Payments
Payment services are provided through Stripe and may be subject to Stripe’s terms. The service company is responsible for service pricing and its refund, dispute, tax, and fulfillment obligations. Expected may display payment state reported by Stripe but does not treat a browser redirect as proof of payment. Tips are optional and are never preselected.
8. Content and acceptable use
You retain rights in content you submit and grant Expected the limited rights needed to host, process, display, transmit, secure, and back up that content to operate the service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit it.
You may not use Expected to break the law; impersonate someone; mislead a customer about identity, screening, credentials, insurance, or safety; harass or discriminate; upload malware or unlawful content; probe or bypass security; scrape or resell the service; access another organization’s information; interfere with messaging consent; or use visit information for unrelated marketing.
9. Availability, changes, and suspension
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Expected. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, address nonpayment, or preserve platform integrity. Service companies remain responsible for maintaining practical alternatives for urgent dispatch, customer communication, records, and payment operations.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Expected is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, message delivery, payment approval, the accuracy of company-submitted information, technician conduct, service quality, or any particular outcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Expected and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Expected’s aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount the applicable company paid Expected for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100 if no amount was paid. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so those provisions may not apply to you.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and date. Material changes may receive additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. Questions about these Terms may be sent to legal@expected.link.
